Patriot Electric isn't a franchise. It isn't a call center with a rotating crew. It's a family — and we built our Springfield, MO electrical company the same way we do our electrical work: with pride, precision, and zero tolerance for cutting corners.
OUR STORY
Our founder, Brandon Cecil, has been in the electrical trade for over 20 years. He's worked in multiple states, learned county codes across the region, and developed a reputation as the electrician who doesn't just fix the problem — he finds out why it happened, explains it to the customer, and makes sure it won't happen again.
Brandon started Patriot Electric to do things his way: honest estimates, clean work, personal communication, and a standard of quality that he'd be proud to put his name on. Every job, every time.
Today, our team is lead by Brandon with his sons working alongside him — learning the trade the right way. Patriot Electric is being built to last — the same way we do every job.

Brandon Cecil
For over 27 years, Brandon Cecil has built a reputation for exceptional electrical work grounded in integrity, professionalism, and craftsmanship. A Master Electrician licensed in five states, Brandon has never relied on advertising — his business has grown entirely through referrals from loyal customers who value quality work and dependable service.
Brandon is known for his attention to detail and commitment to doing things correctly, never cutting corners to save time. From the cleanliness of the job site to the professionalism of his team, every project is completed with care and respect.
As a father and mentor, Brandon is equally committed to passing down the trade properly. He personally trains his sons and apprentices to uphold the same high standards, strong work ethic, and respectful communication that customers have come to expect from his company.
Shane Cecil
Shane has always had a strong mechanical mindset and a sharp attention to detail, qualities that naturally led him into the electrical trade. Today, those strengths are reflected in the pride he takes in every project, his commitment to doing the job correctly, and the professionalism he brings to customers each day.
Shane currently runs the company’s service van, where he has built a reputation for being dependable, respectful, and knowledgeable. He enjoys working directly with customers and takes pride in providing clean, high-quality work that people can trust.
As part of a family-run business, Shane is also passionate about helping teach and guide his younger brothers in the trade, continuing the strong values and workmanship that have been passed down through generations.
Braiden Cecil
Braiden Cecil joined the company full time after high school and has quickly developed a strong passion for the electrical trade. Working closely alongside his father and older brother Shane, he continues to build his skills while learning the trade the right way through hands-on experience and family mentorship.
Braiden especially enjoys panel work and takes pride in making every installation look clean, organized, and professional. He has also developed a strong interest in hot tub wiring, which has become a major part of the company’s work. His goal is to one day lead and grow the company’s hot tub division.
Known as the muscle behind many of the company’s larger wire pulls, Braiden is always willing to step in and tackle the physically demanding side of the job with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Customers and coworkers alike appreciate his fun personality, eagerness to learn, and the energy he brings to every project.
Derek Cecil
Derek Cecil is the youngest member of the team and is already getting an early start in the electrical trade at just 16 years old. Homeschooled and working part-time alongside his dad, Derek is able to take advantage of the flexibility homeschooling provides to begin building hands-on experience in the field — much like his older brother Shane did at a young age.
By shadowing his father on job sites, Derek is learning the importance of professionalism, organization, and doing quality work from the ground up. He assists with trim work, job site clean-up, shop organization, and preparing materials for upcoming projects, helping keep jobs running smoothly and efficiently. He especially enjoys working alongside his dad and brothers and being part of the family team.
Although he is still early in his journey, Derek is developing a strong foundation in the trade while learning valuable skills that will continue to grow in the years ahead.
